Dalhousie Public School

Leadership

Carrying aphilosophy forward

Rooted in a Clear Educational Belief

For more than half a century, Dalhousie Public School has continued to develop its educational approach while remaining committed to the complete growth of the child.

The role of leadership is to protect that purpose while ensuring the School continues to evolve with changing times, changing opportunities and the needs of future generations.

Dalhousie's educational philosophy has been refined over decades.

It is based on the belief that children need more than academic instruction alone. They need opportunities, guidance and an environment that helps them become complete and confident young adults.

School leadership carries the responsibility of translating this philosophy into the everyday experience across both campuses.

One Philosophy Across Two Campuses

The expansion from the original Dalhousie Campus to New Chandigarh represents a new chapter in the School's journey.

Leadership across both campuses remains connected by the same larger purpose: maintaining the values and educational philosophy of Dalhousie while allowing each campus to develop an experience suited to its environment and students.

Continuing to Evolve

Dalhousie describes its educational programme as tried, tested, proven and always developing.

  • That continuing development is important.
  • Education changes.
  • Technology changes.
  • The opportunities available to children change.

The School's responsibility is to continue moving forward without losing sight of the values that have shaped it for more than five decades.

We ask ourselves the same question every day: are our children happy, engaged and treated fairly? A school should be a place where every child is known, every voice is heard, and every learner is encouraged to discover their own potential.
